Snap Illusions is a family operated business, with a common goal of providing professional quality magic for performers from all walks of life. Our main objective has and will always be that we are dedicated to helping magicians no matter what level they are at, both professionally and financially ,to achieve the ability to perform large illusions.
Each and every piece of every illusion we sell is carefully crafted by hand, which can be a time consuming task when you consider our company produces several illusions per month.
It is our goal at Snap Illusions to provide a wide variety of quality illusions for magicians both in the U.S. and abroad. Our illusions are built of high quality woods and are finished in a manner that creates the same look and function of the more expensive illusions. Obviously we do make some changes in order to keep our cost and the customer's cost down. For instance, we use wood with a hammered steel finish, this greatly reduces the cost of the illusion and helps us to maintain the look of a very expensive illusion. We use a wide variety of resources for the design of our illusions. We are grateful to folks like Rand Woodbury, Jim Steinmeyer, Paul Osborne and the countless other magicians past and present that have made contributions to our art. Without their published works, we would not have some of the knowledge that we have today.
When we build illusions, we are designing it for our client's specific wants and needs. If an illusion was not being asked for, we would not be building it. We never purchase illusions, dissect them and copy them. Our illusions are built from public domain methods, plans, etc. We use our own concept of what method we want to use to accomplish the illusion, come up with our own measurements and use paints, fabric and materials that are available to us.
It is our belief that any performer has the right to create apparatus to perform magic. The apparatus may look similar, but it is up to the performer and the audience to create the real magic.
We have been encouraged by our customers with their great feedback, to continue with our good work and we shall endeavor to do that for many years to come.
